Welshpool Printing Group Ltd has been based in Welshpool since 1960 and employs 50 staff. The business provides a choice of high quality Litho and Digital Print solutions to customers throughout the UK.

NRG Direct Mail, meanwhile, employs a team of nine staff. Both bases have been retained in the merger and there are no job losses. Established by Nick Chavasse over a decade ago, it provides printing, packing and posting services and manages cost-effective direct mail marketing campaigns on behalf of clients.

The two companies, who have been working together for a number of years, recognised great opportunities for growth due to the synergy between the two businesses. Paul Jones, WPG’s Managing Director, and also now NRG’s Managing Director, said: “The merger makes perfect sense as we are now able to offer a more efficient and integrated package of services comprising design, print, finishing and mailing. We have inherited a great team at NRG and wish Nick all the best with his future ventures. The ultimate goal is to grow our joint turnover over the next five years, creating new employment opportunities along the way.”
