Design and Print

Design

Basic setting of text around an image is included as part of the set-up charge.  We encourage our clients to use salutations, dates and signatures where appropriate.  Where possible we suggest printing a logo and strap line on address carriers when mailing in polythene and a return address when using envelopes so you can keep your database updated.

Full in-house design is charged by the hour and samples of our design work may be seen on the testimonial page and sample hard copies on request.  Examples of design work completed in the last year include postcards, flyers and newsletters.

Print Solutions

We have experience of supplying print and our own colour Xerox DC 240’s cater for most eventualities.  We print business cards, postcards, colour flyers and letters as well as newsletters.  We are mindful of the price and will outsource to print partners if Litho printing is the cheaper option.  We know the best methods when providing print and always weigh up the cost benefits of supplying print when using one method or another.  The nature of our business is speed and we are often able to turn round printing and mailing jobs the same day.

Digital Printing allows you to send a completely different offer to every customer, with their own name, own discount levels, own address, own shoe size, even own photograph without the need to print thousands of leaflets.

Digital printing is a happy marriage of Experience, Skill, Software and Hardware.

Software

Our sophisticated software allows us to personalise printing, every item on a single run can be completely different. The obvious things such as name and address are expected, however most companies don’t realise that we can vary other aspects of the printing, such as completely different text in each letter, change the offer made to the customer and vary the image in the printing to match the product on offer.  Proofing is done using a sophisticated software package called Proof HQ.  Clients are notified by email to go to a link and proof their artwork, make amends if necessary and approve or ask us to resubmit once amends are made.  This method is user-friendly and much more professional than the old fax machine.  We print discreet barcodes using our software to assist with matching letters and response forms, thereby allowing us to mechanise the job and accordingly quote lower prices .

We also run a secure FTP for uploading large data files or artwork.  This has proved to be more efficient than sending large files by email.

Hardware

The invention of the printing press was a revolution; we do not use printing presses! We have in-house B&W and Full-Colour Printers. These state of the art machines do not use traditional printing methods; no negatives and no printing plates. This allows complete flexibility, we can print a few sheets this week and then change the details and print some more next week.  There are no minimum quantity constraints and happy to do small jobs.  We tell people we do any quantity from 1-100,000.
